Having breakfast with your bestie before class.. I can't think of any better way to start the day! I haven't seen her in forever and since she lives and studies in Leiden too we had to have a breakfast date! Anne & Max is a cute little coffee place where you can also enjoy breakfast or lunch and it is just a 2 minute walk from the faculty!
Anne & Max is designed to feel like a big living room. Having large windows and a neutral color scheme, this place feels like a home away from home! When you're a student, this place is great for studying outside your school or having a lunch or coffee with friends or with your study group. When you're a tourist, this is a hotspot as well! Just around the corner of the shopping district and tourist-y sights lies this beautifully designed place-to-be with (in summertime) a large terrace!
Can I start off all study days so relaxing as this one? On the menu I see a lot of great food. You can go for the breakfast for two or just take a pain au chocolat or yoghurt with muesli. We decide to go for the 'Een goed begin' which means 'Good start of the day' with oeuf en cocotte and avocado on toast! Having a breakfast with a dreamy Leiden view and chatting with your bestie with good food and a fresh mint tea isn't bad at all!
We, my bestie and I, have another 'date' planned in two weeks.. I think we will try another hotspot in Leiden for a new student hotspot article on this bog! What kind of hotspot would you like to see next?
