Study party #1

Hi you guys! Today is the first day I'm hosting a 'study party' overhere! No, I do not claim this is a totally new concept but I love these kind of weekly/monthly returning posts on lifestyle blogs where the blogger shares their favorite posts and stuff like that from other influencers. Let me say, it inspired me to do the same kind of thing but with everything study related! In todays study party you'll find two motivational blog posts by two biggies in the study world, a great freebie and a YouTube video on hacks that will motivate you to study. Let's hop right into it!

Photo: Ways to Study

First of, the mysterious lady behind Ways to Study. Her Instagram account is out of this world and so is her YouTube channel and blog. She is a Dutchie, just like me (and the beautiful lady I will talk about next) and her handwriting is on point. I'm jealous! For today I picked a blog post from earlier this month on how to remember study material. She explains the difference between passive and active studying and gives you just that last little bit of motivation to try different methods while studying. I love the flashcard system she talk about too!

Photo: Lily Like

GIRL, let me talk about Lilia for a bit. She is one of the most hard working people in 'know'. I follow her blog and YouTube channel for over a year right now and she is my study queen! Her social media is filled with beautiful travel and fashion shots, her vlogs are to die for and her mindset is blowing everyone away. This girl knows how to combine fashion, beauty, travel and study like now other with work. She sells her own study planner (there will be a new one around July I guess..) and I even spotted it a few times at my uni! In the blog post I choose for this study party Lilia gives 5 tips for achieving your goals + a video on the topic.

Photo/freebie: The Organised Student

Ok. We all like to plan things, don't we? Sticking to the plan is a different cookie but taking the effort to make a plan is what most of us do. I, myself, like to make intricate plans in a planner/bullet journal but if you just want an overview of whats coming for you.. this semester planner is the best thing! I found this planner freebie and many other ones through The Organised Student blog (a great inspiration studyblr). I hope I can share a homemade freebie in the next study party! What would you like to see made into one?

Photo: Study with Jess

Last but certainly not least, a great video from Jess. If you don't know Jess.. than I don't now where you've been for at least the last two years. This Australian girl has her life together! Newly engaged with the love of her life, a book on studying in high school and founder of stationery brand seed.ED Educationery. She knows how to run a business! Although I love all her video's I wanted to share one of her latests on study motivation hacks. Tip number one for me was making study appointments. I don't have motivation problems (usually) but when I do I will keep this tip in mind!

Now it's up to you, let me know what you would like to see next in a study party and what would you like to see made into a freebie on my blog? Let me know in a comment below & I will see you next time!

Student hotspot | ROOS - Taste & Smile

You guessed what time it is.. Breakfast with bestie-time! As I've already told you guys in my previous student hotspot post  my best friend and I both study in Leiden. Since last time, four weeks ago, we try to meet up every other Wednesday to chat and eat together. After Anne & Max we wanted to try ROOS, which is located very close to the Law faculty as well. ROOS opens every day at 8 am and serve breakfast, lunch, high tea/wine/beer. I've also heard they have the best cake in town! While waiting for my bestie, I was an hour early, I got myself a fresh mint tea and read about an hour in my new book. On a side note: I love to read YA (young adult) fiction and Becky Albertalli is one of my absolute fav YA contemporary writers at the moment. Have you Simon vs the Homo sapiens Agenda from her yet? I love this one too! The first time we went, 2 weeks ago Bente got the scrambled eggs with bacon and avocado while I choose the Greek yoghurt with fruits and nuts and ...
